“FirstCare Hospice is an outstanding quality of care hospice team. They have taken care of all our physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual care needs that we could even think of.

Our dad is receiving quality of life through the entire and exceptional FirstCare Team. We are really impressed with the special attention of care given from both Arthur Nguyen, the Executive Director, and Kevin Ketsan, DNP, RN, the Director of Patient Care Services, as well as the aides. They both have made personal visits to fulfill all our needs; even bringing a portable tablet for my dad to watch continuous football games. They have all shown much interest in his past service to his country through the Marine Corp and his service in the Long Beach Fire Department as an engineer on the fire truck.

All of the FirstCare Team has focused on both our patient and my family on every level. They have been very responsive not only to our patient’s immediate needs but also the needs and questions the family has had. They are exceptional listeners!”

“This was my third time working with hospice with my family, Lucent seems to be the best fit for my family. It started off when they came and explain everything, and we were frightened of hospice. Once they answered all our questions, it seems like they were a smaller company, but they are much more caring and explained more. We seem to matter to them. We started small, my husband didn’t need as much care at first. At each stage they explain to us what we need (bed, supplies). Every time we have a question/ request they are here within 5 to 10 minutes. We got to know everyone personally: Teresa, Patricia, Kevin was so comforting to me. They never frighten me. They became family to me, every time I have a suggestion, they would explain for my benefit. and I trusted their opinion. Mike was very happy with the team the entire duration of his illness, they work very well with my caregivers. All my caregivers appreciate and work very well with your team. When he passed, they make sure everything was done professionally, it was like having family around. I hope I can recommend Lucent if someone is thinking about using a hospice program.”

She talked to my mother the whole time she was giving her a bath even though she was unresponsive this aid never stopped talking to her and telling her how beautiful she was.
